Fruits or fruit?

Q:

I have a simple question to ask. I saw a signboard on a store yesterday, which read: "Fruits and Vegetables." Isn't "fruit" an uncountable noun? Maybe I'm missing something, but uncountables don't have a plural form, do they?

A:

Many noncount nouns, such as fruit, also appear as count nouns.
