指导思想：
1.要面向全体学生，关注每个学生的情感，激发他们学习英语的兴趣，帮助他们建立学习的成就感和自信心，使他们在学习过程中发展综合语言运用能力，提高人文素养，增强实践能力，培养创新精神；
2.突出学生主体，尊重个体差异，让学生在老师的指导下构建知识，提高技能，活跃思维，展现个性，发展心智，拓展视野.
学生情况分析
通过小学和初中六年的学习，学生对牛津英语有了一定的了解，部分学生已基本掌握了一些学习技能和方法。但由于牛津教材词汇量大，加之部分学生学习方法不当，学习上又不够努力，导致本届学生整体成绩不够理想。从上学期期末成绩来看，优生不尖，不合格人数较多。部分学生已经对英语失去了信心，还有一部分学生觉得英语越来越难，渐渐力不从心了，不感兴趣了，上课的注意力也不集中了，发言也不是很活跃。针对这种情况，教学的时候需要注意在备课中增加趣味性，以此来提高学生对英语学习的兴趣。
教材分析
1. 教材按照“话题—功能—结构—任务”相结合的思路编排,以话题为主线,任务为主导,辅以功能和结构项目,有效培养学生综合运用英语的能力.
2. 各单元围绕一个话题展开,内容联系社会生活,贴近学生生活实际,富有时代气息,体现时代精神.

1. 围绕各单元的话题内容，开展一系列的课堂活动，使学生完成各单元的任务。
2. 让学生通过体验、实践、参与、合作、交流和探究等方式，学习和使用英语,培养初步运用英语交际的能力和自学能力。
3. 激发和培养学生的学习兴趣，帮助学生树立自信心，养成良好的学习习惯，发展自我学习能力，形成有效学习策略，使学生掌握一定的语言基本知识和技能,为进一步学习和运用英语打下扎实的基础。
教材重点、难点
本册教材从语音、词汇、语法、阅读等方面着手
1.语音教学 本册课本在上册的基础上进一步学习和运用音标和单词的发音规则，着重抓好学生的预习，自学能力。
2.词汇教学 本册课本所要学习、掌握的单词约400个，另有固定搭配和习惯用语若干条，任务较重。
3.语法教学 本册课本的语法教学项目有：不定代词、动词过去完成时、不定式、被动语态、定语从句以及构词法。
4.阅读教学 是重中之重，本册课本中的阅读课文比上学期难了很多，仍以对话为主，还有一些简单的短文。因此，提高学生的听说、表演对话的能力仍是本学期的一个教学重点，还应有一定的语法基础，具备相当的句子表达能力，能运用一定的词组和句型。
